Exhibition with an inspiring program
The exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to meet national and international exhibitors along the entire value chain of the pulp and paper industry and to exchange their ideas on the industry's trend topics. Of the 139 exhibitors, including 15% more main exhibitors than in the previous year, 42% were new exhibitors this year.
"At the ZELLCHEMING-Expo, we are able to exchange information on all the processes in the paper industry in one place. You can meet a lot of trade visitors, who will find ideas and solutions from the exhibitors on the topics they deal with on a daily basis. It's a very good event," explains the exhibitor Herbert Nowak, Member of the Management Board, Sales Management, Paul & Co GmbH & Co KG.
A new joint stand had its premiere this year, the "Road of Maintenance". At the exhibition stands and on the Showcase Arena with live repairs, use cases and short presentations, visitors were able to obtain information about the products from companies in the field of maintenance in the paper industry.
Companies wishing to exhibit at the ZELLCHEMING-Expo for the first time had the opportunity to present themselves at the Newcomer Pavilion. The stand was sold out well in advance.
Another successful innovation included the guided tours on the topics of digitization, maintenance, drying, machine cross direction profiles and clean processes, where visitors were able to gain a first-hand overview of the exhibitors' offerings on these trend topics.
Future-oriented further training options at a high level
With a comprehensive lecture program, the ZELLCHEMING-Expo provided visitors with a variety of further training opportunities for their individual fields of application. At the ZELLCHEMING-Forum, which was designed with new, interactive formats, the focus was on current topics such as bioeconomics, paper industry 4.0 and paper, end consumers and consumption 4.0, which were presented with a practical focus.
Future topics that are relevant for all companies were also discussed. On Tuesday, Dr Michael Weiss, J.M. Voith SE & Co. KG -VPH gave a keynote lecture on "The Great Debate - Pioneering Innovative and Sustainable Solutions". A special highlight was the keynote speech by Charles Bahr, founder of the marketing agency tubeconnect, entitled "Generation Z enters the job market: How to reach teenagers sustainably". Georg Jobst, IT Security Analyst at NSIDE ATTACK LOGIC GmbH, visualized in the form of a live hack, what happens when professional attacks are carried out on a company's IT systems and with which tools and tricks companies can protect themselves against them.
Furthermore, the popular Science Flash took place for the second time, where young scientists from different universities gave insights into their innovative work.
Varied networking platform
Many exhibitors and visitors value the ZELLCHEMING-Expo due to its numerous networking opportunities. Evening events such as the "After Fair" and "Summer´s Evening" with Skyline Party over the rooftops of Frankfurt hosted by the ZELLCHEMING e.V. were well-attended attractions designed to make new contacts and strengthen existing ones.
The Women4Paper Day, a breakfast reception organized exclusively for women in the pulp and paper industry with a keynote speech by Prof. Dr. Zollner-Croll on the subject of "What role do women play in the paper industry", was also a great success.
"Together with the participating companies from the industry and the expansion of further training options, guided tours and the "Road of Maintenance", the exhibition offers the optimum mix of product presentations and knowledge transfer. In this way, the participants have a wealth of opportunities at one location to be inspired for their everyday work", summarizes Petra Hanke, Managing Director of ZELLCHEMING e.V.
